| GuestName: Chris Grobler Guest_CommmentHi Outsider I assume from your letter that, as in my case, English is not your first language but since this is you communication language of choice I have decided to respond to your concerns in said language. I am somewhat surprised by your negative perception of the youth at Filadelfia. I am sure you will agree that it is rather unfair to judge individuals if you haven’t really taken the time to get to know them or understand their motives that are expressed through certain behaviors. I have made an effort to befriend a number of the youth who may have been perceived by some to be ‘stuck-up’, just to realize (as I had thought) that they are simply shy and also intimidated by some of the more verbal extroverts in the group, which by the way we probably also need. I must say that I have never been part of any group where I did not experience the phenomenon of some people having difficulty to fit into said group, including at times myself. Even if one shares the same interests and passions as other individuals or groups, it may still not, in general, be easy to befriend said individuals or be accepted into these groups, due to personality differences. I have to disagree with you strongly on one point, and that is your perception that our youth do not have a passion for the gospel or a burden for souls. Do yourself a favor and assist at the Hatfield Plaza DVD stand one Sunday and I will guarantee you, your perception of the youth’s passion for the proclamation of the 3-angels message will be changed for ever. Tomorrow we are planning to distribute 1,000 DVDs in our neighborhood, and you are once again welcome to join us. I am concerned that you may have fallen into the very vice that you are accusing the youth of, in that you judge and criticize them without having the attribute of omniscience. My primary objective for going to church is not socialize with friends or to be recognized by others, but to place myself in a space where God can change ME to become more like HIM and to exalt His Name. My advice to you is to start focusing on only Christ if you are serious in becoming a Christian and stop focusing on people. People will always disappoint you at some time, as we are all sinners, each one in mortal combat with the devil on a daily basis. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but you are wasting your time if you think that God will ever accept partial loyalty from anyone. He makes it clear that He is a jealous God and cannot accept anything less than our complete loyalty and total commitment to Him. We cannot serve the world and serve God as this word belongs to Satan and Jesus made it clear that you cannot serve two masters. Please pray for our youth, I am praying for you. Feel free to talk to me about your concerns it would be a great loss if your relationship with Jesus should be tarnished because of your experiences with people. God bless GuestName: Guest_CommmentGuestName: Guest_CommmentGuestName: Guest_CommmentGuestName: Guest_CommmentGuestName: Outsider Guest_CommmentNice going with the subliminal message insulting my grammer and spelling, but thanx for confirming how JUDGEMENTAL/critical you guys are, remember what I said about language... Guess you must be representing the youth? Remember what your god said about stones that will proclaim the word? Well you guys sure do a great work at handing out the stones.. Thanks for my stones, they much friendly than the person that handed them out in the first place. So thanx for the half-job asshole! Im wont join this fake crowd.. And hearing all that preaching about a god that changes a person, dont see your god changing you.. But I see the Buhdists god changing them, Ill go back to Nan Hua, and find true spritirual enlightenment there. And no, I dont want to dare go to your youth group again, religion should be inviting, not daring. GuestName: Jaco Stroebel Guest_CommmentYou just went to the wrong youth group, try the exciting wendyhouse group behind the church. With lots of discussions and good natured arguements about life and the bible. We are a small group still becuase we refuse to be aborbed into that which is the youth in the tent. Each sabbath we start early with friends catching up on what they did in the week and then we start with sabbath school and the lesson. Come see and decide about what you think of our youth group. I dare you GuestName: Outsider Guest_CommmentI really think Philadelfia's youth sucks big time. They have their own little circle of friends, uninviting and awkward in class. As an outsider coming to visit sometimes, I havent even seen growth in the number of youth. Philladelfia's name should be changed to Laodicea. It is with great dissapointment to see their useless efforts of selfish entertainment, coffee and pancake evenings, game evenings, and sport activities, etc... where is the outreach in that? Selfish entertainment of useless porportions. I see a youth inside "Phillidelphia" I see in the clubs and bars, only difference is, its much easier to mingle with the drunkards, prostitutes and "scum" of the world than the closed minded arrogant stuck up youth I've met in this Church. I dont need to try amd mingle with a youth that doesnt want to be socially friendly, or inviting. They are closed in their own little world that will soon self-destruct. Its much easier mingling with people that dont think they are saved, but rather worried. I dare this letter be read from the pulpit. Because I dont think theres someone man enough in Phillidelphia to revive this dead youth and congregation. I must say, the standards are very high, that of the Pharasees and Saducees, and as critical towards others in their dress, language and other none of your business relations. Carefully read Romans 14. No wonder Ellen White wrote how few there are going to heaven. Phillidelpia is obsessed in correcting each others mistakes and flaws, instead of concentrating on their own self-rightiouse, judgemental, hypocrytes most of them are who dare try and take the place of God. Rather welcome the sinners and pray for them, rather than critisizing them. As I am not a Christain, but is burning to be one, I seek refuge in another Church. Have the guts to preach about this letter - I think you will not. GuestName: Stanley Partington Guest_CommmentDear Pastors Louw & Vd Westhuizen, I would like to ask a huge favour of your selves and the church of Filadelfia. My name is Stanley Partington and I am a member of the Bassonia Congregation. Two year ago I started a bible study at work, where a number of people joined our studies. Through the distribution of DVD’s and in particular that of Prof. Walter Veith's 39 dvd series I worked with a lady Jestell Lehmann. Jestell Lehmann gave her heart to the Lord in November 2006, and with her baptism was accepted into the Church of God & family of Bassonia. However - this lady has had a difficult walk and due to many circumstances did not attend church. My family & I and the church never gave up on her and as a fellow colleague of mine I continued to pray for her and encourage her to "NEVER GIVE UP". Jestell attended Filadelfia last Sabbath, and I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for welcoming her with love & open arms. Jestell has mentioned that she would like to have her membership moved to Filadelfia - we will follow the standard procedures concerning "change of membership”. I ask that you please take Jestell & her son Julian under your wings of love as she begins to worship with you. May God richly bless Filadelfia church, you and your ministry as we prepare for the soon return of Jesus our Saviour & Lord. Warm Blessings, Stanley Partington Mecer External Sales Exec. 011 237 1000 011 237 1686 082 794 5482 GuestName: Peter Bellis Guest_CommmentBaie Mooi! Bly om te sien die bulletin is beskikbaar!
